ABOUT ME. ..
Hi there, this is a post that I am doing to let you know a bit about myself and my therapies.
I am Luisa, I am living in the northwest of England with my partner, our daughter and three beautiful and sweet lurcher dogs, I am originally from Barcelona, but I came to England back in 2010.
I would like to start by saying that massaging was a part of my life from a young age.
Ever since I have memories of me playing as a little girl, one of my favourite games was to rub my mama's legs with any lotion I could use and it's funny because I used to call it "playing Doctors", I guess I already had the certainty that somehow with my hands, I was "healing" something in my mama's legs.
Years passed by and as I grew up massaging was always in the background, I remember that often my mother used to suffer from neck pain due to tension and bad postures, and it was me who always would rub some anti inflammatory cream on the area, often being a great success.

And so my life went on and I did many different things, never thinking of the possibility that massage therapies could be my job, my career. ..
So it wasn't up until 2006 that someone suggested to me - I think you should consider the possibility of becoming a massage therapist-
Those words were my wake up call and here I am, doing what I love the best I can.
So in 2006 I did my course in the city of Girona (Catalonia, Spain)
The course lasted a whole academic year, so it started in October and ended in June.
I did Quiromassage, if you would like to know a bit about it here is a good article.
It was a very good academy with very good professionals, and I would like to say this with honesty and not coming from an inflated ego but I was one of the best in my class and in a way I am not surprised, at the end of the day massaging was always a part of my path.
In the academy I learnt the movements, anatomy, ways, products to work with etc, etc. .. but along the years I have discovered my own way of working.
I am quite an intuitive person and I work holistically, when someone is on my massage table, I always connect in a very deep and subtle level allowing myself and my hands to do what is best for the person so my treatments are pretty unique.
My main philosophy when I work is that the body that I am treating is the temple or home to someones soul, hence I touch it and treat it with deep respect and care so, if you are stopping yourself from the benefits of a massage just because you are thinking that your body it's too big. small, short, tall. ... forget about that as I don't see any of those.
So this is a bit about me and why I do what I do, I will be posting more as often as I can.
Hope you engage with me in this journey.
Lots of love
